Support - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Login to your account first. Then click 'My Account' on the top of the page. Next click 'Subscription Plan' and choose 'Upgrade Your Plan' or 'Downgrade Your Plan' and follow the directions on the screen. Please note: if you are downgrading your plan and you have exceeded the amount of storage, groups, or ScreenPoppers, the excess will be deleted by downgrading. Before downgrading, check out the size parameters of your new plan and manually go in and delete your Groups and ScreenPoppers. This way you can determine which items will be deleted.

What is "Monthly Recurring Billing?"

It is very simple. When you create the account, you are billed on that same day for the first month. For your new paid account, you are billed every month. This recurring monthly billing continues for as long as you are subscribed to a paid plan. You can downgrade at anytime to the free plan if you wish, or cancel your account and your billing will stop that day.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a free trial plan to test our service out. If you like it, and we hope you do, please sign up for a paid plan. Once you have a paid plan, we work hard providing you a great service, but we understand you may change your mind. Therefore, there is a 30 day, no questions asked, 100% refund on all new plan purchases. That is the only refund we offer. There are no refunds for cancelations at any other time.

Why are there limitations on the size of my ScreenPopper?

Your ScreenPopper could possibly travel across the world to someone viewing your webpage. Each ScreenPopper Message counts– you want it to be seen. The bigger your ScreenPopper, the longer it takes to get to it's destination. That is why we offer general size parameters for each account. As a golden rule, the smaller the ScreenPopper, the faster it will load. Keep your images optimized, and text use to a minimum. Use only what you need to deliver a concise message that will help your viewer take the next action you want.

What should I put in my ScreenPoppers?

Of course you can put anything you want in your ScreenPoppers. Announce something special like an event, or a new section on your webpage. Create sales pitches and marketing materials to help your visitors find your products and services better. When you design a ScreenPopper, look over the page where it will 'Pop' and think as your visitor will think. See what additional information (text/images) you can present to your visitor that is not already on the webpage. That is the content for your ScreenPopper.

A good rule to follow is to keep your message simple, clean, and efficient. Make it easy for your visitor to understand what you are offering. If it can be seen and read in under 3 seconds, it will likely convey the message you are intending.

My ScreenPopper Does Not Pop Over YouTube Videos/Flash Videos?

Adobe Flash requires a 'wmode' setting set to 'transparent'. You can add it as follows:

1. append to src (wmode=transparent)
<iframe height="281" width="500" src=" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

2. add a property to a youtube player (wmode: "transparent")
var player = new YT.Player('player', { width: 1280, height: 720, videoId: 'VQazxKzHOes', playerVars: { controls: 0, showinfo: 0 , modestbranding: 1, wmode: "transparent" }, events: { 'onReady': onPlayerReady, 'onPlaybackQualityChange': onPlayerPlaybackQualityChange } });

3. add as an object param (value="transparent")
<object width="515" height="292"> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <param name="movie" value=""></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" width="515" height="292"> </embed> </object>

My ScreenPopper Does Not Pop Over Flash Content?

Adobe Flash has a setting that allows content/HTML to be placed over it. If this setting is not included, Flash takes over the page and pushes your HTML to the top, right, bottom, or left of the Flash content.

To allow all HTML to layer over your Flash movies, you must use the 'wmode' setting. The 'wmode' setting must be set to 'opaque'. It can be compiled into your movies, or it can be set inline as follows.

For example, to set it inline, add both to your web page:

1. add wmode to your embed code:
<embed src="flash/myFlashMovie.swf" quality="high" scale="exactfit" salign="lt" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="100%" height="10%" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="" wmode="opaque"/>

2. add a param setting for wmode
<param name="wmode" value="opague">

<object width="100%" height="100%" id="_id" name="_name" data="/swf/flash10.swf"> <param name="wmode" value="opaque"> </object>

3. if using a javascript library to create the flash object:
flashembed("flash", {src: "/swf/flash10.swf", wmode: 'opaque'});
